When the world is talking about the on-profit organization Invisible Children and their viral YouTube video KONY 2012, Al Jazeera English has launched “Uganda Speaks”, an initiative aiming to track down the voices from people who are missing from the debates about the viral video and the organizers, such as the people from Uganda themselves.

This campaign was first tweeted by Al Jazeera English on early Tuesday morning. Uganda Speaks features an interactive map which filters the crowd source, time stamped views, and from-based, which they called as “reports”. Until now, most of the reports were coming from Kampala, the biggest city and capital of Uganda. Some headlines from the stream are “Skeptical about KONY 2012,” “African Forces Should Stop KONY,” and “Hysteria.”

An anonymous report titled “Impressed” states, “I am impressed with the way Ugandans have refused to take this misrepresentation lying down. #Kony2012 #UgandaSpeaks.

A Facebook engineer said that she wants to see more women in tech. However, why there are no women on the company’s board? Jocelyn Goldfein, the engineering director on Facebook told Seattle Times that she hope Facebook can do something more to turn the tide and get more women to study computer science.

We should admit that her argument is pretty strong. For the beginning, she says that the “misogynist” way that Mark Zuckerberg depicted on The Social Network was erroneous and that Facebook employs some female engineers and developers. She also hope that the rising interest for Facebook among girls could hep them get more female involvement in tech.

Truthfully, there is a problem with this condition. Facebook is clearly want to have some women engineers in their office, but they have no women on the board. Actually last month, some people are addressing Facebook to do something with the total lack of gender diversity. Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s going to change anytime soon.

The new iPad isn’t coming yet but still, people are trying to guess how big the launch will be. An industry analyst claims that it will defeat the original iPad launch. Piper Jaffray’s Gene Munster said that he expects Apple to reach 1 million iPads sold on the release date, Friday March 16. When Apple release the original iPad, the company predicts that it will sell 300,000 units on the launch day.

Munster is comparing the launch of this third generation iPad with the launch of the iPhone 4 two years ago. Since the first iPad launch, Apple has sold 55 million units in total. When iPhone 4 was debuting, Apple has sold 50 million units of iPhones worldwide. Apple claims that they sold 1.7 million unit only in the first three days. “As the iPad will be sold in 12 countries next Friday, we are confident the company will sell more than 1 million on launch day,” said Munster.

Will iPad do the same victory in the tablet market like the iPhone did on smartphone? Some studies said that iPad will continue to dominate the tablet until at least 2015.

While LinkedIn is considered to be a more professional social network, TweetMyJobs is trying to fill the gap on lower level and mid career jobs, with position from pizza maker to a mail carrier. “I understand the government can’t create jobs, but it can provide a platform to facilitate your job searching,” said Richards.

Apple has finally unveiled their latest product, the new iPad and a new Apple TV in San Francisco on Wednesday morning. This will end the months of heavy speculation.

Tim Cook as the new CEO and Apple’s Marketing Chief Phil Schiller unveiled the products at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, where a lot of tech journalists who catch anything they said.

The new iPad has 9.7 inch screen with 2048 x 1536 pixel and retina display. Moreover, it has 5 megapixel camera like the iPhone 4S with 1080p video recording. The device will be available on the market starting from March 16 in black and white, including the A5X chip and 4G LTE networks in it. The dimension is 9.4 milimeters thick, weighing 1.4 pounds.

The Wi-Fi version of the tablet is available for $499 for 16 GB, $599 for 32 GB, and $699 for 64 GB. The 4G version costs $629 for 16 GB, $729 for 32 GB, and $829 for 64 GB. The pre-orders have been started and the device will be available on March 16 in these 10 countries: U.S., UK, Japan, Canada, Switzerland, Germany, France, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Austria.
