It doesn’t matter how modern your TV today, still you need a remote to change the channel into what you want to watch. Sometimes, it might be a frustrating, complicated thing. When you got into what you want to watch, your dinner might already cold and your drink is already warm. Can you imagine how great if we only need to tell our TV about what we want? It is pretty much possible, with Siri entering the technology market.
At the end of Steve Jobs’ biography, there is an indication that the late Apple CEO was working on the TV problem until the end of his days and he said “I’ve finally cracked it!” Unfortunately, the word “it” is still unclear. But according to the New York Times, it is about a voice-activated television using the brand new intelligent feature on iPhone 4S, Siri.
Nick Bilton from The New York Times has long investigating about whether Apple will launch their own TV set. He conclude that the TV set is coming, but he still don’t know when. Beside that, he guesses that Siri will be the main interface of the TV. We already know on how great Apple’s microphone technology on FaceTime was. So, will we miss our button-rich remote control?
